The University of Scranton baseball team earned a doubleheader sweep of Lycoming College on Saturday, winning game one 4-3 before securing a 10-5 victory in game two in Williamsport, Pa.

Game One
How it Happened
- Lycoming grabbed the lead in the first inning, taking the 1-0 lead on a Brody Lindsey RBI double.
- The Warriors plated two more runs in the fifth on a two-run single, stretching their lead to 3-0.
- Scranton broke through in the fourth inning, erupting for four runs to take its first lead of the game. A single by Jared Cassella, follow by a walk from Joey Granko and another base hit from John Heitzman loaded the bases for Vincent Napolitano, who crushed a grand slam put Scranton in front 4-3.
- Logan Mason pitched the ninth for the Royals, and although Lycoming had the tying and go-ahead runs in scoring position, Mason got Bordy Lindsey to fly out to close out the 4-3 win for Scranton.
Game Two
How it Happened
- The Royals struck first in the opening inning, scoring twice to take a 2-0 lead. Jared Cassella singled with one out, and Joey Granko followed with a double to put runners on second and third. John Heitzman lined a single to right to score Cassella, and Hunter Petrich added a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.
- Lycoming answered in the bottom half, evening the score on a two-run home run by Brody Lindsey.
- Scranton pulled back in front in the fifth, scoring three runs on four hits. Conor Campbell singled and Cassella walked before Granko advanced both runners with a sacrifice bunt. Two batters later, Petrich doubled to plate Campbell and Cassella, and Aidan Casey followed with an RBI double to score Petrich and give the Royals a 5-2 edge.
- The Royals added two more later in the inning on sacrifice flies from Casey and Jimmy Lundari, extending the lead to 7-2.
- Lycoming responded in the bottom of the fifth with a run on a Lindsey double and two more on a Josh Bottger single, trimming the deficit to 7-5.
- Scranton kept the pressure on with a run in the sixth and two in the seventh. T.J. DiMattia led off the sixth with a triple and later scored on a two-out RBI single from Granko. In the seventh, Lundari doubled in Casey from first, and DiMattia followed with an RBI single two batters later to stretch the lead to 10-5.
- Matt Scepkowski and Kieran Lodewick handled the final four innings, combining for five strikeouts while allowing just two hits and no runs to secure the 10-5 victory.
