  • A bases-loaded hit by pitch and a sacrifice fly brought in two more runs for the Rangers in the top of the seventh, stretching the lead to 11-2.
  • With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Nitti belted his second homer of the afternoon, a solo shot to make it 11-3. Later in the inning, Brayden Keller and Conor Campbell hit consecutive doubles to drive in two more runs, and Joey Granko and Vincent Napolitano followed with RBI singles to cut the deficit to 11-6.

Later in the inning, Campbell scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Granko, and Nitti beat out an infield single that brought home Hunter Petrich to trim the deficit to 6-3.
  • Like they did in game one, the Royals rallied in the bottom of the ninth and put the tying run in scoring position. Aidan Casey led off the inning with a single, and with one out, Napolitano followed with a single of his own to put the tying run aboard. A wild pitch moved both runners to second and third, but Drew worked out of the jam with a game-ending strikeout to secure a 6-4 win in the nightcap and complete the doubleheader sweep.
