The University of Scranton women's golf team finished ninth overall on Thursday at the Bloomsburg Husky Spring Invitational, held at Frosty Valley Country Club.
The Royals recorded a team score of 419 (+131) in a 10-team field. Host Bloomsburg University Maroon earned the team title with a 344 (+56), followed by Millersville University in second (350, +62) and Kutztown University in third (354, +66).
PennWest Clarion placed fourth (363, +75), while Shepherd University finished fifth (381, +93). Lock Haven University (389, +101), East Stroudsburg University (395, +107), and Bloomsburg Gold (398, +110) rounded out spots six through eight. Scranton finished ahead of Wilkes University, which placed 10th at 432 (+144).
Individually, Lidia Marranca led the Royals with a 100 (+28), carding rounds of 51 and 49. Mara Bilenski followed with a 103 (+31) (53-50), while Emily Davis posted a 105 (+33) with rounds of 52 and 53.
Cassandra Weir rounded out the team scoring with a 111 (+39) (59-52). Julia Downing also competed for the Royals and recorded a 117 (+45) with rounds of 56 and 61.
