Scranton Women’s Basketball to Host Skills Clinic on August 17

The University of Scranton women's basketball team will host a Skills Clinic on Monday, August 17, at the John Long Center, providing young athletes with an opportunity to improve their basketball skills in a fun, challenging, and competitive environment.

Led by the Lady Royals' coaching staff, the clinic will focus on age-appropriate skill development through high-energy drills and instruction. Participants will work on key fundamentals, including ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork, defense, and overall game concepts.

Each athlete will receive individualized coaching while building the fundamentals and confidence needed to continue developing their game. The clinic is designed for players of all skill levels who are looking to learn, compete, and grow as basketball players.

The clinic will feature two sessions:

Skills Clinic 1

  • Time: 3:00–5:00 p.m.
  • Eligibility: Girls in Grades 1–5

Skills Clinic 2

  • Time: 5:00–7:00 p.m.
  • Eligibility: Girls in Grades 6–12

Cost: $50 per athlete
