CARLISLE, Pa. - Down 2-1 entering the fourth set to host Dickinson, the University of Scranton volleyball team clawed their way back to force a decisive fifth game, then won that to take the non-conference match, 3-2, on the road on Wednesday night (21-25, 25-18, 13-25, 25-19, 15-10).

With the victory, Scranton improved to 24-2 overall on the year, while with the tough defeat, Dickinson dropped to 8-13 overall.

In the win, Scranton split the first two sets, before falling by 12 points in the third set to go down 2-1 against the host Red Devils entering the fourth game.

In the fifth set, Scranton put away Dickinson quick, as they opened up an insurmountable 10-4 lead. Up 13-6, the Red Devils tried to get back in it, winning four points in a row to slice the Royals lead down to 13-10, but the Royals extinguished the threat by winning the final two points in a row to take the match in five.

Overall on the night, Scranton was led on the attack by two junior Megan Monastra (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) and sophomore Kate Calabro (Seaford, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) who both had 10 kills, apiece.
