Box Score 2 SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's volleyball team (8–4) capped off a perfect weekend at the John Long Center with a pair of impressive victories on Saturday, defeating Rowan University and Union College in non-conference action.
The Royals, who also picked up a win over Eastern University on Friday night, went 3–0 on the weekend, showcasing offensive firepower, depth, and key milestones — including Camryn Hoffman recording her 1,000th career dig in the nightcap against Union.
Match 1: Scranton 3, Rowan 2 (25–21, 25–20, 22–25, 14–25, 15–8)
In the first match of the day, Scranton jumped out to a 2–0 lead before Rowan stormed back to force a fifth set. The Royals regrouped and delivered their best hitting set of the match in the final frame, closing it out with a .391 hitting percentage to secure the win.

Deanna Whelpley led all players with 20 kills, hitting .278 across five sets.

Cammi Quirk posted 50 assists, along with 15 digs and 2 aces.

Adria Vargas and Hoffman anchored the back row with 22 and 20 digs, respectively.

Danielle Kramer contributed 8 kills and 6 blocks to lead a defensive unit that tallied 8 total blocks and 10 service aces.
Match 2: Scranton 3, Union (NY) 1 (25–14, 25–20, 28–30, 25–11)
Scranton closed the day with an efficient and commanding win over Union, hitting .331 as a team and dominating three of the four sets. After a narrow 30–28 loss in the third, the Royals responded with a dominant fourth set to secure the victory and finish the weekend 3–0.

Whelpley delivered 24 kills on .463 hitting, finishing with 44 kills on the day.

Ava Seidenstein added 10 kills, while Kramer added 5.

Quirk added another 40 assists, bringing her total to 90 across both matches.

Hoffman led the defense with 14 digs and 4 aces, while also surpassing the 1,000 career digs milestone in the third set. For her efforts, she was named Tournament MVP.
- Erin Gretsky, Gwen Koester, and Kramer combined for 13 total blocks as Scranton continued its strong net presence.
