MOOSIC - Three members of the University of Scranton men's golf team carded a trio of 75's, as the Royals extended their dual match winning streak with 54 straight matches on Tuesday with a pair of victories over Kings (303-347) and Misericordia (303-360) at soggy Glenmaura National Golf Club.
With the win, Scranton is now 10-0 in duals this fall.
Overall, senior Nicholas Campanelli (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional), junior Matthew Fleming (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South), and freshman Danny Harding (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) all shot 75's (+4) to share medalist honors at the event. For Fleming, the round matched a season-low, while Harding carded the lowest round of his brief Scranton career on the afternoon.
Elsewhere, graduate student Calvin Ralph (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) shot a 78, while senior John Shaughnessy (Florida, N.Y./S.S. Seward Institute) posted a score of 80 to round out the line-up for the Royals.
For King's, Tyler Faux had the team's lowest round with an 81, while Misericordia was led by Brett Herman, who had an 86.
The University of Scranton men's golf team returns to action on Oct. 6 when they host Wilkes and Marywood at Glenmaura. Action gets underway at 1 p.m.
