The University of Scranton baseball team headed south for spring break, but couldn't escape the inclement weather affecting the East Coast, as the Royals' first game of the trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. was postponed Saturday.
The Royals (3-1-1) were scheduled to take on New England College at 4 p.m., but heavy rain on Thursday night and early Friday, coupled with high winds, caused the postponement of the game.
The baseball team will now open its trip to Myrtle Beach on Sunday with a doubleheader against Suffolk. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
