MOOSIC, PA (April 10, 2022) — The University of Scranton men's golf team competed in the first day of the Glenmaura Invitational at the Glenmaura National Golf Club today as the players were forced to stop after the front nine due to the inclement weather conditions.
Freshman
Liam Burtis (Binghamton, N.Y. / Seton Catholic Central) finished with a 39 (+4) to lead the Royals after nine holes of play. Senior
Nicholas Campanelli (Manahawkin, N.J. / Southern Regional) shot a 41 (+6) while graduate student
Calvin Ralph (Hillsdale, N.J. / Pascack Valley) carded a 44 (+9) on the front.
Freshman
Danny Harding (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) finished with a 45 (+10) while junior
Matthew Fleming (Richboro, Pa. / Council Rock South) rounded out the lineup for Scranton with a 46 (+11).
Ethan Zawatski of Misericordia shot the low score of the day with an even par 35 on the front.
Action resumes at Glenmaura National Golf Club on Monday morning at 9:00 AM.
