MOOSIC, PA (April 28, 2022) -- The University of Scranton men's golf team fell to Bloomsburg by nine strokes while topping Clarks Summit in a local tri-match at Glenmaura National Golf Club on Thursday afternoon.
Bloomsburg earned the team title at 320 while the Royals came in at 329 and Clarks Summit at 417.
Freshman Danny Harding (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) earned medalist honors as he carded a 77 (+6) to edge out Ryan Walker of Bloomsburg by one stroke. Fellow freshman Liam Burtis (Binghamton, N.Y. / Seton Catholic Central) shot an 81 (+10) while his classmate Stephen Butler (Souderton, Pa. / Souderton Area) finished with an 85 (+14).
Rounding out the lineup for the Royals was senior John Shaughnessy (Florida, N.Y. / S.S. Seward Institute) and junior Collin Ennis (Pleasant Mount, Pa. / Scranton Prep) who shot 86 (+15) and 87 (+16) respectively.
The University of Scranton men's golf team returns to action on Friday afternoon when they take on Misericordia at Irem Temple Country Club for the final match of the year.
