The No. 3 seed University of Scranton field hockey team (15-3) is set to hit the road to battle No. 2 seed Catholic (12-4) in a Landmark semifinal on Wednesday night at Cardinal Stadium in Washington, D.C. with start time for 7 p.m.
Wednesday's winner will advance to Saturday's championship game against the winner of the other semifinal that pits No. 1 Susquehanna/No. 4 seed Moravian.
Admission to the semifinal matchup is $7 for adults and $4 for minors ages 10-17 and seniors 62 and older. Children ages nine and under are admitted free of charge, as are all Landmark Conference students, faculty and staff with their school ID.

The Royals advanced to the semifinal with a 5-0 victory over No. 6 seed Wilkes behind a pair of goals from senior Cori Davis (Millerstown, Pa./Greenwood), while sophomore Julia Downing (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley), senior Katie Redding (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) and freshman Ava De Natale (Westchester, N.Y./Valhalla) also found the back of the cage in the victory.
In the regular season meeting between the two teams on Sept. 30, Scranton notched a 1-0 win over the then-No. 21 Cardinals with a game-winning goal by sophomore Annie Shaw (Exton, Pa./Villa Maria Academy)Â and a defensive unit that allowed just two shots.
This marks the sixth all-time postseason meeting between the two teams with the most recent matchup a 3-1 Scranton victory in the 2021 Landmark title game.
Redding (17 goals, 41 points) and fellow senior Bridget Abraldes (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) (11 goals, 29 points) rank as the top two in the conference in both categories, while also sharing the conference lead with seven assists.
Shaw has added seven goals for head coach Colleen Moyer's team to go along with five apiece from Downing and senior Elle Collins (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central).
Scranton has registered nine shutouts as a team and junior goalie Gianna Travia (Havertown, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) leads the Landmark with a 0.64 goals against average.
Niki Micciche leads Catholic in goals (nine) and points (21) and Mary Parker has 20 points on seven goals and six assists.
