Freshman forward Nick Ruisi (Greenlawn, N.Y./Harborfields/Cheshire Academy) of The University of Scranton men's basketball team scored a career-high 17 points on Sunday at Arcadia and has been named Peggy's Scranton Athlete of the Week for the period ending Dec. 17, 2023.

This marks the first career Peggy's Scranton Athlete of the Week honor for Ruisi.

The Greenlawn, N.Y., native was 7-of-12 from the floor and buried a trio of threes en route to his 17-point performance. Ruisi also collected three rebounds and two steals on the day.

He has started each of the last three games for the Royals and is averaging 6.0 points to go along with 3.2 rebounds on the season.

Scranton is back in action on Saturday, Dec. 30 at King's with opening tip set for 2 p.m.
