The University of Scranton men's basketball team saw two student-athletes recognized for their excellence in the classroom and on the court, as senior Luca Baratta and junior Nick Ruisi earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.
Baratta, a Finance major, boasts a 3.86 GPA while appearing in all 26 games for the Royals this season, making one start. A consistent presence in the lineup, he provided valuable depth and experience throughout his senior campaign.
Ruisi, a Kinesiology major with a 3.61 GPA, started 20 of the 22 games he appeared in this season. The junior played a key role for Scranton, contributing significant minutes as part of the team's rotation.
The CSC Academic All-District award recognizes student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom, highlighting their commitment to excellence in both areas.
