Sophomore defender Logan Campbell (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South)Â of The University of Scranton men's soccer team scored a pair of game-winning goals last week and has been named Peggy's Scranton Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 17, 2023.
This marks the first career Peggy's Scranton of the Athlete Week selection for Campbell.
In a 2-1 win over Misericordia on Tuesday, the Chalfont, Pa., native headed home the eventual game-winner in the 58th minute to break a one-all tie and then scored the lone goal of the match in the 23rd minute off a corner kick from junior Sean Quin (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus).
On the season for the Royals, Campbell has helped anchor a backline that has allowed two goals in five matches and has recorded three clean sheets.
Scranton is back in action on Wednesday night at Marywood with start time slated for 7 p.m.
