Danny Harding (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) fired off an impressive round of 75 (+3) to capture low medalist honors as The University of Scranton men's golf team competed in the Weyhill Classic at Saucon Valley Country Club on Monday afternoon.
This marks Harding's second time earning low medalist honors this season.
The Royals finished third as a team at 326. Drew placed first overall at 316 while Moravian edged out Scranton by two strokes at 324.
Sophomore
Jack Novis (Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster Catholic) carded an 83 (+11) on the day, while fellow sophomores
Gehrig Shannon (Bernardsville, N.J. / Saint Peter's Prep) and
Juliano Nieto (Archbald, Pa. / Holy Cross) finished one stroke behind at 84 (+12). Sophomore
Luke Merlan (Pembroke, Mass. / Pembroke) rounded out the lineup for Scranton with an 89 (+17).
The men's golf team returns to action tomorrow for a local match against Marywood at Glenmaura National Golf Club at 1:00 PM.
