The University of Scranton men's golf team finished the Drew Birdie Bash at Flanders Valley Golf Course hosted by Drew University in second place out of 12 teams on Wednesday.
The Royals finished the day with a total score of 299 (+11), just one stroke down of Drew University for the tournament title.
Scores
- Senior Danny Harding scored the best round of the day for the Royals with a 72 (E), the second best score of 60 competitors.
- Senior Liam Burtis finished fourth individually with a score of 74 (+2).
- Junior Gehrig Shannon shot a 75 (+3), tied for the seventh best score of the day.
- Junior Jack Novis finished six strokes from par with a total score of 78 (+6).
- Freshman Richard Essen rounded out the lineup for the Royals with a score of 80 (+8) and finished in a tie for 26th.
The men's golf team returns to the course next Thursday, October 10th in the Bloomsburg Invitational at Frost Valley Country Club in Danville, PA at 12:00 PM.
