WILLIAMSPORT, PA -- The University of Scranton men's golf team shot a 303 (+19) on the second day of the D3 Elite Invitational and finished in a tie for 15th out of 20 teams at Williamsport Country Club on Sunday.Â
The Royals finished the tournament with a total score of 603 (+35). Trinity (CT) won the team title at 565 (-3). Ramon Aroca Gonzalez of Hamilton College earned medalist honors at 135 (-7).
Scores
- Junior Juliano Nieto carded the best round of the day for Scranton with a 73 (+2) and finished the tournament in a tie for 64th individually.Â
- Junior Jack Novis also finished in a tie for 64th after a second round score of 75 (+4).Â
- Senior Danny Harding led Scranton with a tie for 52nd finish and carded a 78Â (+7) in his second round.Â
- Senior Liam Burtis matched his first round score with a 77 (+6) and finished in a tie for 74th.Â
- Junior Gehrig Shannon rounded out the lineup for Scranton with a second round score of 81 (+10) and finished in a tie for 79th.Â
The men's golf team returns to action on Wednesday at the Drew Birdie Bash hosted at Flanders Valley Golf Course at 1:00 PM.Â
