CLARK, N.J. – Senior Emily Hopkins led the way with a podium finish as The University of Scranton women's cross country team placed third overall at the 2025 Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, N.J.
Hopkins ran a personal-best 22:08.54 to finish third overall and earn All-Landmark honors.
Junior Callie Gorman joined Hopkins in the top 10, placing sixth in a career-best 22:44.19, while sophomore Paige Barnett added a 21st-place showing in 24:13.63. Senior Maria Viola (24:20.97, 23rd) and freshman Helen Socorso (24:25.41, 25th) rounded out the Royals' scoring five.
Sophomore Emily Miller (26th, 24:28.24) and freshman Kaitlyn Stibritz (28th, 24:32.05) also turned in personal-best efforts for the Royals, as the entire top seven posted PRs on the day.
Scranton finished with 77 team points, earning a strong third-place finish behind Moravian (39) and Catholic (65), and just ahead of Elizabethtown (79).
Moravian's Tara Smurla claimed the individual championship in 21:26.65, leading the Greyhounds to the team title.
The Royals now turn their focus to the NCAA Regional, set for Saturday, Nov. 15.
