Women’s Cross Country Finishes 14th at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

NEWVILLE, PA – Senior Emily Hopkins led The University of Scranton's women's cross-country team to a 14th place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship hosted by Dickinson College Saturday morning at Big Spring High School.

Hopkins finished the 6k course in 27th with a time of 22:39.12. Junior Callie Gorman added a 49th place finish in 23:32.52. Freshman Kaitlyn Stibritz finished in 88th, and Sophomores Emily Miller and Maura Durcan rounded out scoring placing 106th and 108th respectively.

Johns Hopkins took home the team victory, while Carnegie Mellon's Chloe Bonson crossed the line first with a time of 21:24.42.

Scranton's cross country teams will now shift to prepare for the indoor track season, which kicks off December 6th at Lehigh University.
