JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The No. 2 University of Scranton women's basketball team used another dominant defensive effort and 52 bench points to roll past New Jersey City University, 87–46, on Thursday night at the John J. Moore Athletics & Fitness Center. The Lady Royals move to 3–0 after leading wire-to-wire and controlling every phase of the game.

How It Happened
- Scranton opened the night with a 23–11 first quarter, sparked by transition scoring from Jenna Sloan, Kaci Kranson, and a three from Katie Gorski. The Lady Royals also got an early lift from the bench, as Elizabeth Bennett and Marisa Francione provided a strong spark to help build the early lead.
- The Lady Royals blew the game open in the second, using a 28–9 quarter fueled by 12 points from Sophia Talutto.
- Scranton closed the half on an 18–3 run and led 51–20 at the break.
- Scranton maintained complete control in the third, getting a three-point play from Kranson and knocking down multiple threes from Talutto, Lamanna, and Natalie Stoupakis as the lead grew to 73–31 entering the fourth.
- In the final quarter, the bench finished strong as the Lady Royals closed out their most decisive win of the young season, 87-46.
