NEWVILLE, PA – Sophomore Brayden Clarke led The University of Scranton's men's cross-country team to an 11th place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship hosted by Dickinson College Saturday morning at Big Spring High School.
Clarke crossed the finish line in 25th with a time of 26:01.37. Senior Angel Perez finished in 56th place, recording a time of 27:01.23. Freshman Luke O'Briend finished 65th, and classmates Owen James and Dylan Walsh finished 65th and 84th respectively to round out scoring for the Royals.
The Royals placed all five scorers in the top 100 en route to their 11th place finish out of 31 teams. Johns Hopkins took home both the individual and team victories, as Kenny Wanlass finished first with a time of 25:16.80.
Scranton's cross country teams will now shift to prepare for the indoor track season, which kicks off December 6th at Lehigh University.
