SCRANTON, Pa. -- Three members of The University of Scranton cross country programs were recognized as USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes for the 2025 NCAA Division III cross country season, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
On the men's side, Brayden Clarke earned All-Academic distinction, while Callie Gorman and Emily Hopkins were honored for the women's program.
In addition to the individual accolades, both Scranton cross country teams were also named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams. The men's program posted a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while the women's team recorded a 3.58 GPA.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete recognition, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet. Teams earn All-Academic status by achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 3.10 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other criteria.
The honors highlight the strong academic tradition of the cross country programs at The University of Scranton, recognizing student-athletes who continue to excel both on the course and in the classroom.
