How It Happened
- Scranton came out sharp offensively, shooting over 58 percent in the first half and building an early advantage behind Tornabene's efficient scoring. The Royals led 40–35 at halftime after controlling the glass and limiting Nazareth's perimeter shooting.
- The second half remained tightly contested, with Nazareth cutting the deficit to as few as five points on multiple occasions. Each time, Scranton responded with timely baskets and defensive rebounds to keep control.
- Tornabene took over late, attacking the rim and converting at the free-throw line as the Royals steadily stretched the lead in the final five minutes. Scranton outscored Nazareth 33–28 in the second half and closed the game by going 9-of-12 from the foul line down the stretch.
- The Royals dominated the rebounding battle, finishing with a 49–25 edge on the glass, which proved critical in maintaining separation.
