SCRANTON, PA - The University of Scranton women's lacrosse team earned its second consecutive win as they took down Lebanon Valley College 17-7 on Wednesday afternoon at Weiss Field.
The Basics:

How it Happened:
- Scranton got the scoring started in the first minute of the game as sophomore Eileen Hewitt drove to the goal and scored to put the Royals ahead 1-0 early.
- A couple of minutes later, Hewitt connected with senior Grace Lane who found the back of the net to extend the lead.
- Sophomore Jillian Lopez scored on a free position shot at the 8:08 mark, and graduate student Devyn Tanajewski added another goal 30 seconds later, pushing the Royals' advantage to 4-0.
- Lebanon Valley answered with a pair of goals scored by Molly Whisler just 1:03 apart to end the first quarter, and the Dutchmen opened the second period with a pair of goals by Alyssa Wene to even the score at four apiece. LVC then took the lead at the 9:38 mark, as Whisler scored again, putting the Dutchmen ahead 5-4.
- Scranton responded by going on a six goal run to end the second.
- Graduate student Erin Reich tied the game at five, Lane gave the Royals the 6-5 lead, Hewitt scored a pair of goals and Lopez scored her second of the day to push the lead to four goals.
- With 1:50 to go in the half, freshman Grace DiDominica scored her first collegiate goal, and senior Molly McCarren found the back of the net for the first time in 2025 after missing the first five games while recovering from injury.
- Reich began the third period with a pair of goals to extend the Royals' lead to 13-5. After LVC got one back, McCarren added her second of the day to get Scranton's lead back to eight goals.
- Reich and Lane both added another goal apiece before the end of the quarter as the Royals took a 16-6 advantage into the fourth quarter.
- LVC scored its seventh goal of the contest 52 seconds into the quarter. Both defenses then kept the rest of the quarter scoreless until McCarren scored her third goal of the game and the Royals' 17th of the day with 22 seconds left to go.
Top Performers:
- Hewitt recorded a team-high six points on three goals and three assists.
- Reich led the team with four goals scored.
- McCarren tallied three goals in her first game back from injury.
