DALLAS, PA -- The University of Scranton men's golf team delivered an outstanding performance on the course this week, defeating Wilkes University in a dominant fashion with a team score of
287 to
322.
Scranton's score of 287 matched the program record set back in 2014.Â
Leading the way for the Royals was Cade Kelleher, who fired an impressive 68, the lowest score of the match. He was backed by a strong team showing from Jack Novis (72), Richard Essen (73), and Jack Leonard (74) — all of whom contributed to the team's winning total.
Also posting competitive rounds were Gehrig Shannon and Jake Lairdieson, each finishing with a 77 — further showcasing the team's strong lineup and depth.
Next up, The University of Scranton men's golf team will travel to New Tripoli, Pennsylvania, to compete in the DeSales Invitational at Olde Homestead Golf Club. The two-day event will take place on Friday, October 3, and Saturday, October 4
