SCRANTON, Pa. -- Junior Eileen Hewitt powered the University of Scranton women's lacrosse team to a statement victory over No. 6 Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday, leading the Royals to an 8–7 win.

Hewitt tallied three goals on just five shots on goal and added an assist in the hard-fought victory, earning recognition as Peggy's Scranton Athlete of the Week. This marks the second time in her career she has received the honor.

A Preseason All-American, Hewitt has opened the year in strong form, totaling five goals and one assist through the Royals' first two games.

Scranton returns to action Wednesday afternoon when it hosts No. 7 York College of Pennsylvania at 5:00 p.m. at Weiss Field.
