Kyle Holmes of The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team has been named Peggy's Athlete of the Week after a record-breaking performance in a 27-4 win over Juniata College.
The senior attackman tallied nine goals and two assists, setting a new program record for most goals in a single game. Holmes sparked a dominant start with seven first-quarter goals, helping the Royals build an early lead they would never relinquish.
Scranton (6-6, 4-0 Landmark) cruised to the victory behind a commanding effort on both ends, outshooting Juniata 75-16.
The Royals return to action on April 8 with a road matchup at Moravian University.
