Kyle Holmes of The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team was named to the USILA Team of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

Holmes recorded nine goals and two assists in a win over Juniata College, setting a new program record for goals in a single game. He fueled a commanding start with seven first-quarter goals, helping the Royals jump out to a lead they would not surrender in a 27-4 victory over the Eagles.

The senior attackman currently leads the Royals with 30 goals this season. Earlier this year, Holmes became the program's all-time leading goal scorer and has played a key role in Scranton's offense, which sits atop the Landmark Conference standings with a 4-0 mark in league play.

The Royals return to action on April 8 with a road contest at Moravian University.
