Fox Named Rookie of the Year; Royals Earn Coaching Staff of the Year Honors as Landmark Announces Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Awards

The Landmark Conference announced its major awards and All-Conference honors for the 2026 Women's Outdoor Track & Field season on Monday following the conclusion of the conference championship meet, with The University of Scranton earning two major awards and 18 All-Conference honors.

Freshman thrower Peyton Fox was named the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year, while Scranton earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors after capturing the 2026 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship title.

All-Conference teams are determined by place finishes at the championship meet, with first-place finishers earning First Team honors, second-place finishers receiving Second Team recognition, and third-place finishers collecting Honorable Mention accolades.

Fox delivered an incredible debut at the conference championship meet, winning the hammer throw with a facility-record mark of 47.90 meters. The freshman also placed second in the discus with a new facility-record and NCAA Division III top-100 throw of 40.45 meters while adding a 14th-place finish in the shot put (9.72 meters). Fox becomes just the second Rookie of the Year in program history, joining Jocelyn Smith, who earned the honor in 2024.

The Royals' coaching staff guided Scranton to a dominant championship performance as the team totaled 196 points over the two-day meet to finish 26.5 points ahead of second-place Moravian University. The title completed a sweep of the 2026 Landmark Conference indoor and outdoor championships for Scranton.

Head coach Jon Cutright earned his second career Coaching Staff of the Year honor and first at Scranton after previously receiving the award at Juniata in 2009. He is joined on the coaching staff by assistant coaches Bill Burke, Eric Lukan, Joe Bennett, Hailey Monaghan, and Katie Seal. The Royals also set four program records during the championship meet.
