WILKES-BARRE, Pa.—King’s College won nine of 10
bouts to score a 40-3 victory over The University of Scranton
wrestling team Tuesday evening at Scandlon Gymnasium.
The Monarchs recorded three wins by way of pins and another by a
technical fall to improve to 3-6 on the season, while the Royals
dropped to 2-7.
Junior Chris Silakoski (Trenton, NJ/Notre Dame)
scored the lone win for Scranton, pulling out an 11-10 decision
over junior Cemah Tudae-Torboh in the 197-pound weight class.
With the victory, Silakoski improved to 8-4 on the season and 35-33
in his career.
The Royals will return to action this Saturday, January 19, in a
tournament at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in New York.
