ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The University of Scranton wrestling team wrapped up action on Sunday at the NCAA Mideast Regionals that were hosted by Elizabethtown College.
The Royals earned a total of 30.5 points over the two day meet and finished 15th in the team standings. TCNJ won the team title with 163.5 points.
Graduate student William Laughlin (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) led the efforts for the Royals on Sunday with a sixth place finish at 174 pounds. Laughlin dropped a 12-6 decision to Joe Paul of Johns Hopkins in the fifth place match.
Laughlin has now notched two top seven finishes at the NCAA Regional meet in his career after finishing seventh at 174 pounds in 2020.
At 157 pounds, sophomore Daniel Kosinski (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) notched a pair of victories on Saturday before falling to McDaniel's Xavier Howard to begin action this morning.
