DALLAS, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's cross country team finished fourth at the Misericordia Invitational to open the 2024 season on Friday.
Scranton took fourth with 134 points as Dickinson won the team title in the nine-team field with 25 points.
Senior Christian Snee (Olyphant, Pa./Mid Valley) paced the Royals with an 18th-place finish with a personal-best 4K time of 13:07.7 and freshman Brayden Clarke (Factoryville, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) finished 30th after completing the course in 13:42.5.
Elsewhere for Scranton, junior Justin Knab (Lawrence Township, N.J./Lawrence) finished 34th in a personal-best time of 13:49.2 and classmate Liam Fahey (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) added a personal-best time of his own in 13:49.5 for a 36th-place finish. Senior Tanner Updyke (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) rounded out the team's top five in 42nd place with a personal-best clip of 14:01.5.
The Royals return to action on Saturday, Sept. 7 for the LVC Invitational that will begin at 11 a.m.
