SCRANTON, PA -- Senior Will McLoughlin scored 18 points as The University of Scranton men's basketball team defeated Lycoming College, 70-62, in Landmark Conference action on Wednesday night at the John Long Center.

- McLoughlin put the Royals on the board first, finishing a driving layup through contact and earning the extra point at the line.
- Junior Jon Spatola drove to the hoop, drawing contact and converting the and-1 play, giving Scranton a 12-9 lead with 14 minutes left in the half.
- Down 17-14 with 12 minutes remaining, McLoughlin connected from three-point range off a feed from senior Mason Thompson to tie the game.
- Freshman Kylon Brown drained a three-pointer off a skip pass from McLoughlin as the Royals took a 29-27 lead with just under six minutes left in the half.
- Spatola knocked the ball away from the Warriors and took it down court for a layup that extended Scranton's lead to 35-29.
- Thompson grabbed an offensive board and scored a put back layup at the buzzer as the Royals headed to the locker room with an eight-point lead.
- Thompson opened scoring in the second half, securing a long rebound and taking it the length of the court for a fast break layup.
- Sophomore P.J. Kellachan scored a put back floater as the Royals took a 46-33 lead with 15:40 remaining.Â
