GETTYSBURG, PA – The University of Scranton men's cross country team turned in another strong performance on Saturday at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational, hosted by Gettysburg College, placing fifth overall in a deep field of 34 teams.
The Royals totaled 183 points with a combined team time of 2:10:51.6, finishing just one point behind Saint Francis (Pa.) and ahead of host Gettysburg and Landmark rival Susquehanna.
Brayden Clarke led the charge once again for Scranton, placing seventh overall in 24:56.6 over the 8k course.
Angel Perez followed with a strong 25:56.6 (28th) finish, while Jackson Morris came through in 26:15.8 (40th). Michael Allardyce added a 54th-place (26:49.3) showing, and Luke O'Brien completed the scoring in 56th (26:53.3).
Also competing for the Royals were Owen James (68th, 27:03.6) and Dylan Walsh (99th, 27:51.1), helping Scranton secure its fourth top-five team finish of the season.
The Royals will return to action at the Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1, in Clark, N.J.
