Graduate student Jacob Burgette of The University of Scranton wrestling team finished in seventh place in the 174 pound bracket at the NCAA Division III Region III Regional Tournament on Saturday hosted by Messiah University. 

The Basics

• Scranton finished in 16th place overall at the tournament with 11.5 points.

How it Happened

• Burgette dropped his opening bout of the day to Nick Bell of NYU (18-3 tech. fall). 
• In the seventh place match, Burgette defeated Luke Moore of Delaware Valley in a 12-5 decision. 

Inside the Numbers

• Burgette went 3-2 on the tournament with two pins and one decision to earn a team-high 9.5 points.
• He completes the season with a 27-4 overall record.
