Newville, PA – The University of Scranton men's cross country team posted a strong team performance on Saturday at the Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational, claiming 4th place in the men's 8K race with a team score of 42 points. The meet was held at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania, and featured a deep and competitive field.
Leading the Royals was Brayden Clarke, who delivered a stellar individual performance with a 2nd-place finish, clocking in at 26:01.0 and averaging a 5:14 mile pace. His effort helped anchor Scranton's top-five team finish.
Jackson Morris was the next Royal across the line, placing 20th overall (17th among scorers) with a time of 27:36.3. Close behind were Luke O'Brien in 31st (23rd scoring) at 28:14.0, and Owen James in 33rd (25th scoring) at 28:25.3.
Michael Allardyce rounded out the scoring group, finishing in 34th with a near-identical time of 28:25.4.
Up next, the Royals head to Gettysburg, Pa. for the Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Saturday, October 18.
