BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's track and field team delivered several standout performances on Saturday at the Moravian University Blue & Grey Invite, highlighted by multiple finals appearances, a sprint victory, and a podium finish in the hurdles.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Molly White advanced to the finals and finished third overall with a time of 9.47, recording one of Scranton's top individual finishes of the meet.
The Royals' sprint group made a strong showing in the 60 meters, placing three athletes in the finals. Sam Sharrow captured the event title, finishing first overall with a winning time of 7.80. Kaia Grantham followed closely behind, placing fourth in 8.17, while Tasia Miniotis rounded out Scranton's finals representation with a seventh-place finish in 8.47. Olivia Miller and Jordan Badman also competed in the preliminary rounds.
Scranton captured first place in the 4x400 relay with a winning time of 4:04.57, as the quartet of Tasia Miniotis, Olivia Miller, Sam Sharrow, and Molly White combined for the victory.
In the distance events, Emily Hopkins turned in a strong performance in the 3000 meters, finishing fourth overall with a time of 10:34.21, while Maria Viola added another solid effort for the Royals in the event.
In the long jump, Sharrow bested her program record and claimed first overall with a mark of 5.67m.
Scranton recorded multiple top-eight finals finishes across sprint, hurdle, and distance events as the indoor season continues to take shape.
