SCRANTON, Pa. – Junior guard Brendan Carr earned Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honors after leading The University of Scranton men's basketball team to a pair of Landmark Conference home victories last week, as the Royals improved to 14–1 overall and 7–1 in conference play.
Carr averaged 19.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in wins over Lycoming College, 77–72, and No. 23 Catholic University, 71–68. He scored 18 points against Lycoming before posting a game-high 20 points versus nationally ranked Catholic.
The junior guard was especially efficient from long range, knocking down 5-of-7 three-pointers against Catholic. For the week, Carr shot 8-of-14 from beyond the arc (57.1%), helping fuel Scranton's offensive success in two key conference victories.
Carr's strong all-around performance and perimeter shooting played a pivotal role in the Royals' continued success in Landmark Conference action.
